This weekend, we took a very early morning flight on Friday to South Carolina to see our new grand baby, Avery. We arrived ready to do our best bounce and weave and to play wit

h our very active and delightful granddaughter, Maggie. Oh yeah, and to see their parents Erin and Dan...We had a wonderful time. Avery was still so little and just a precious angel. Just like all newborns, she spent most of her time sleeping but that didn't stop us from holding and cuddling her every minute possible. She is, of course, the most beautiful baby ever. But, if you really want to have your heart handed to you, try resisting a precocious two year old calling out for her Papa and Gigi. We chased each other, tickled, took walks, colored with the sidewalk chalk, went to the zoo, lunched at "The Mouse" (aka Chuckie Cheese), had lots of fries and "dabble" (ketchup), and basically let her tell us exactly what our next move would be. And we were happy to do so. We had a wonderful time. Maggie really took to her Pap

a! If he would go out of her sight, she wa

s out looking for him. And the feeling was mutual. Mike played the role like a master. If she wanted it, she got it. Here are just a few of my favorite pictures. It was hard to leave and to be so far from them knowing that we don't get to be apart of their everyday life. We can't wait to spend some more time with them on the beach next month. We love you Avery and Maggie. See you at the beach!!

AWW! Those is some cutie pies! Mr. Mike always looks so happy when he is with kids - he has such a happy, interest in them that kids feel and that's why my Erin is always so glued to him. When she saw him yesterday at church she couldn't wait to talk to him and I had to hold her back until SS opening exercises. What lucky grandkidders you have to have the two of you!
That is one gorgeous new born baby pic with her little arms tucked up by her face for perfect like!
PS: I haven't forgotten that I was tagged, I just have a lot of other stuff to ramble on about right now. Fear not, I will be loyal.
I love the pictures. Mike told me you took some 29,000+ photos. Glad to see they made it to the blog. Beautiful, beautiful grandkids.
Is anyone really surprised to see Mike loving on a baby girl? My Lulu can't get enough of him when he's here! Reminds me so much of when Tori was the baby girl.
P.S. It's HILARIOUS to hear you talk about your grandkids when I have a daughter the same age as one of them!
TWO MONTHS of being a fellow blogger and all you have to show for it is a measley NINE posts!!!??!!! you call yourself my sister!!! :D
If you're obsessed with it, HOW IS IT THAT WE'RE ALL SO DEPRIVED??? Get on it! I know one of you McAnders took a laptop to SC with you! I expect several posts so that I can feel like I'm there with you, instead of being here and enduring the humidity without the fun of being at the beach!
You poor thing! You haven't had anything fun happen to you since June! And no great pictures to share! You poor thing!
